Description
Students practice using superposition and cross cutting relationships to determine relative age in this digital escape activity. Suitable for ages 11-18, this escape room will lead students to images of rock layers. Clicking on various parts of the image lead to clues such as a jigsaw puzzle, codes, and mazes as well as a magic pixel puzzle and a drag and drop activity. Also included is a 1-2 minute video explaining what an escape room and how it works.
This is a completely digital escape activity – all students will need is internet access and a URL which you will receive in a PDF with the solution and hints as well as suggestions to having a successful game. NO prep required – just give your students the URL and they’re off to find clues and solve puzzles.
Average student completion time is approximately 35 minutes, but your mileage may vary. This escape room can be done individually or in groups of 2-4, either remotely or in a classroom.
