Description
Review activity using an escape room format. Students need to use their knowledge of food webs to find clues solve puzzles. On a visit to an aquarium, the students learn that algae spores are locked in a treasure chest. If they can’t open the treasure chest, the algae won’t be able to reproduce and the entire food web will collapse.
This is a completely digital escape room – all students will need is internet access and a URL which you will receive in a PDF with the solution and hints as well as suggestions to having a successful game. NO prep required – just give your students the URL and they’re off to find clues and solve puzzles.
Suitable for ages 9-13, this escape room will lead students to an image of a treasure chest and an aquarium. Clicking on various parts of the image lead to clues such as a jigsaw puzzle, true/false clues, food webs clues in them, and a maze. Also included is a 1-2 minute video explaining what an escape room and how it works.
Average student completion time is approximately 35 minutes, but your mileage may vary. This escape room can be done individually or in groups of 2-4, either remotely or in a classroom.
