Limiting Factors and Carrying Capacity Hands On Activity

Show your students the effects of limiting factors on the carrying capacity with this hands on activity.

This hands on activity simulates a pond ecosystem with a population of 100 frogs. Various factors change in the pond and affect the population.

Resource is provided in 2 formats:

• Google Sheets format for completely digital access. Students can complete the lab on a Chromebook or computer using virtual dice to randomize the limiting factors.
• Google Slides format for use in a classroom. Teacher prints the directions, the data table, and the population cards which students randomly select to determine which factors affect their populations.
